About Army Cadet College:

The only person can apply for this entry who is enlisted personnel in any of the service. There are no direct ways to join the Army Cadet College. One must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in any of the forces as a soldier or as any other commissioned post.  One can only become an officer in the Indian Army only. The training of the cadets is pretty much similar to the NDA (National Defence Academy). Now let’s see the complete selection process and required eligibility criteria which are mandatory to have to apply for this.

Eligibility Criteria for Army Cadet College:

In order to apply for the Army cadet college. A Candidates must have 2 years of service in any of the forces like the Indian Navy, Indian Air force, or Indian army, and the Candidate must have passed 10+2 in any discipline from the State Board or central board.

  • Married and unmarried both can apply for the ACC. 
  • The candidate’s age must be between 20 years old to 27 years old. There is no relaxation in age regarding the Caste, community or religion, etc.

Now let’s look at the selection procedure of the Army Cadet college and exams that one has to clear.

Army Cadet College Selection Procedure:

The Selection of the candidate is pretty much similar with the Other officer’s Entry Selection procedure. One will need to clear the following phases of selection:

  • Written Examination
  • SSB Interview
  • Medical Examination

The Written Examination is a bit easy as compared to the SSB Interview. The SSB Interview is one of the toughest Interviews in India at the 10+2 level.  This Interview is basically five days long and each day you will be tested in a different manner. This may be the toughest phase to clear for you. Always prepare for this in a very better manner. Once a candidate clears the SSB Interview, All the qualified candidates will be sent for the Medical test which is done at the Military Hospitals under the guidance of the military Doctors.

Syllabus of ACC Written Exam:

The Written test is teh first phase of selection. Here is th list of the subjects that one has to prepare for the Written Examination of the Army Cadet College.

  • General Mental Ability Test
  • Current and General Awareness
  • Interactive Communicative English
  • Academic Content Test etc.

These are the subjects that one has to prepare for the Written Examination. There are many books available in the market by which you can have complete preparation for the exam but I would suggest you go for the online study materials because it would cost you very little as compared to the offline stores.

How to prepare for ACC Written Exam:

For better preparation for any exam, choose the right study material. You do not need to join any coaching academy for the preparation of the Army Cadet College Written Examination. Make a Proper Plan and do self-study with the right study material.

The Written Exam is not tough to clear, you can clear with the two-three months of preparation. Once you finish your syllabus, Start solving the Previous year’s question papers, sample papers or Model papers, etc. It can give you an experience for your real exam and you can prepare better through that.
