Training is scheduled to begin within the initial week of January 2022 for all courses at Air Force Academy Dundigal (Hyderabad). The duration of the training for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) Branches is 74 (seventy-four) weeks which of Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branches is 52 (fifty-two) weeks at Air Force Academy institutions.
AFCAT Joining Procedure:
Those Candidates who figures within the Meir List and who have cleared the examination would be issued call Letters. Call Letters would be sent by Speed Post / Scanned copy through E-Mail to the address/E-mail ID obtainable on record. A candidate of flying branches will get proper training for 72 weeks as per the Indian Air force routine while for the ground duty officer or other technician or non-technical branches, the training is only for 52 weeks.
After the successful completion of the training. All the candidates will appear for the Passing out parade which is actually the final step of getting into the Indian Air Force Service.
