Required Eligibility Criteria to become Assistant Commandant:

There are basically two departments for the Assistant Commandant in the Indian Coast Guard Service. One is technical and another one is non-technical etc. In order to Join Coast Guard As An Assistant Commandant. The educational qualification required is a bit different.

Educational Qualification for Assistant Commandant (GD): One just needs to have done graduation in any stream from any recognized college, Institute University etc with at least 60% marks.

Educational Qualification for Assistant Commandant (Technical): One needs to have done graduation in any technical aspects like B.tech or BE degree from any government recognized College, Institute or University etc with at least 60% marks.

Age Limit Criteria:

  • The age of the candidate is between 20 years old to 24 years old.
  • There are some relaxations for the reserved categories candidates like 3 years to OBC candidate and 5 years to SC/ST candidate.

Selection Process to become Coast Guard as an Assistant Commandant:
