How to Join Indian Coast Guard as an Officer:

You can join the Indian Coast Guard as a technician, pilot, general duty officer etc and for each of these, there is different educational qualification requirement. To Join Coast Guard as a Pilot, you need CPL (Commercial Pilot license) from the DGCA and for the technical entries, you must have B.E or B.tech degree in any particular stream.

For the General entries in the Indian Coast Guard, you just need a Graduation degree in any stream from any recognized Institute or University. To join the Coast Guard service you need to be medically and physically fit all the time. Let’s see the required eligibility criteria for Coast Guard.

Eligibility for Coast Guard Service:

Right after passing class 10th, One becomes eligible to apply for the vacancy. The required eligibility criteria for each post is different. In order to become an officer, One must have passed class 12th with Science.

Selection Stages of Indian Coast Guards Officers:

1.6km run to be completed in 7 minutes.
20 squat up.
10 push-ups.

How to Join the Indian Armed Forces After 12th

Medical Standard:

The minimum height required is 157cm.
Reduction in Height for a candidate who belongs to hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the central government order.
Chest expansion should be 5cm and well proportioned.
Weight should be standard as per your height.
Hearing should be normal.
Eyesight should be 6/36.
A permanent body Tattoo is not allowed on any part of the body.
If the candidate belongs to the tribal area community then tattoos are allowed only on the inner face and inner arms as per the central govt. Rule.
