How to Join the Indian Armed Forces After 12th
NDA 2021 Eligibility Criteria:
Here are the details about the required eligibility criteria for NDA which you have to match while you apply for this.
- Candidate must have physics and mathematics in 10+2.
- If you are in class 12th. Then too you can apply.
- Candidate must have 60% marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) on the 12th board.
- The age of the candidates must be between 16.5 to 19 yrs old.
- There is no relaxation that has been given to any caste or any religion.
- The age limit is same for the all the categories.
- Candidate height must be 157cm or more than that.
- Chest expansion should be 5cm or more than that.
- The candidate should do not have a knock-knee problem.
- Your elbow should not be turned in the outer direction for more than 15 degrees.
- Candidate must have proper BMI (Body Mass Index) etc.
This is the defense and you are applying for the post of officer. There are many Physical standards for this. NDA Selection Process 2021:
There is the three-level of exams that one has to clear to be considered for the selection. After the application, A candidate will appear for these selection phases:
- Written Exam by Union Public Service Commission. (www.upsc.gov.in)
- SSB Interview
- Medical Examination etc.
The Written Test is the first phase of selection and but the SSB Interview is the main phase of selection. Actually, the selection is based on the SSB Interview. The Shortlisting of the candidate for the SSB Interview is done through the Written Test and after the SSB Interview, there would be a medical test under the supervision of the Military Doctors. These are the phases that are mandatory to clear to get selected in the National Defense Academy.
NDA Written Exam Pattern and Eligibility 2021:
There are two papers in the NDA Written Examination. It is mandatory to clear both papers individually. The Paper pattern of both papers would be a bit different. Here are the details about the Exam Pattern of the National Defense Academy.
Part-I Mathematics:
- Total Number of Questions: 120
- Each question would be carrying: 2.5 marks
- Max marks 300.
- Time duration 2.5hrs
- Negative marking 0.33 for each wrong answer.
Part-II English and GAT (General Ability Test).
- 100 Questions of GAT
- 50 Questions of English
- Total Number of Questions: 150
- Max mars 600.
- Time duration 2.5hrs
- Each Question would be carrying 4 marks.
- Negative marking 0.33 for each wrong answer.

How to Start Preparation for NDA 2021:
If you are new to this and have never appeared for any competitive exams before. You must join the best Defense coaching to get at least basic training and education to appear for the competitive examinations. - The first student has to mark a good study plan. Remember one thing this exam is not too hard you just have to be clear with the 10+2 syllabus.
- Make shorts note while you are studying. So that you revise it at the end time of preparation.
- Solve previous year’s question papers.
- If you do not have enough time for the preparation then just solve the previous year’s question papers as much as you can.
- According to my, if you were good at 12th, you just need 3 months for the best preparation, if you are regular and punctual of time.
- You just have to study for 4-5 hours every day.
- Solve the previous year’s question paper as much as you can.
