Sainik School is basically school where students are trained to serve the nation in future. This is completely different from other schools. In this school all the rule and regulations are like army cadet. These schools are managed by the Sainik School Society of India under the Ministry of defence.
NDA Eligibility Criteria 2021 and Selection Process
Sainik School Admission Process:
India has total 27 sainik schools in the different states of the country. Till date only male students are eligible to apply for this, but in the recent article of The Times of India says now girls can also apply for this.
Student can take Admission only in class 6th and class 9th and Admission will be taken on the basis of written exams and for admission in class 11th admission will be taken through the interview and the candidates would be shortlisted on the basis of the of their marks in class 10th.
As per the rules of Sainik School Society, 67% of our seats are reserved for the boys of the state where is school is located. And rest of the seats are for the boys of other state and union territories.
Army TES 10+2 Selection Process and Eligibility Criteria
In these seats, 25% seats are reserved for the sons of defence personnel and ex-servicemen while 15% seats are reserved for the SC, ST. Only 25% of seats are available for civilians.
Admission Process of Sainik School:
The Admission will be done in three phase of selection. One will be required to clear the follwoing phases for admission.
- Written Entrance test
- Interview by the Sainik Board
- Medical test in Government Civil Hospital.

Eligibility Criteria fr Sainik Schools:
- To take admission in class 6th , student age should be 10-12 years.
- To take admission in class 9th , student age should be between 13-15 years.
- And for the boys of class 11th , their age should be 16-18 years.
In our country, there is no discrimination for gender. Recently defence minister Rajjnath Singh has announced the admission of girls in Sainik school from 2021-22 in a phased manner. Rajnath Singh has also asked the authorities concerned to ensure the availability of the necessary environment and female staff in the Sainik Schools.

Admission Process for class 11th:
- There is no any entrance exam for the class 11th students. There selection would be based on their marks scored in class 10th.
- They will directly go for the interview and after that for the medical.

CDS Selection Process 2021 and Eligibility Criteria
Class 6th Entrance Test Syllabus:
- Mathematical knowledge test
- Laungues ability test
- Intelligents test
Class 9th Entrance Test Syllabus:
- Mathematics
- Science
- English
- Social study
The total time duration would be 3hrs for this. Test paper would be in English, Hindi and Malayalam. All the candidates who would qualify for the written test will go for the interview and medical test in a government civil hospital.
