340 cadets completed Three years of Military Course at NDA:
In Pune, 29th the Convocation Ceremony of the 142nd NDA course of the National Defence Academy was held at the Habibullah Hall of NDA on 29 May 2022. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Ayog.
234 cadets were conferred the degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University which included 41 cadets in the Science stream, 106 cadets in the Computer Science stream and 68 cadets in the Arts stream. 19 cadets from friendly foreign countries were also awarded degrees during the programme. In addition, the B Tech stream comprising 106 cadets of Navy and Air Force cadets also received a ‘three years Military Course at NDA completion’ certificate as these Naval and Air Force cadets will be conferred with the degree after completion of one year of training at their respective pre-commissioning training academics i.e. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, respectively.

The Chief Guest was received by Vice Admiral Ajay Kochhar, AVSM, NM, Commandant, NDA. The academic report for Spring Term- 2022 was presented. The Chief Guest in his convocation address congratulated the cadets for passing out a course for successful completion of their gruelling training from one of the premier training academies of world repute. He congratulated and conveyed his sincere gratitude to all the parents who motivated their wards to join this prestigious ‘Tri Services’ training institute of the Indian Armed Forces; one of the most combat-oriented armed forces in the world.
Cadet Quarter Master Sergeant Ravi Kumar of Mike Squadron stood first in the Science Stream with an FGPA of 8.02 and was awarded the Commandant’s Silver Medal and COAS rolling Trophy presented by General K Sundarji, PVSM (Retd).
Battalion Cadet Adjutant Shivam Kanhaiya of Kilo Squadron stood first in the Computer Science Stream with an FGPA of 8.34 and was awarded Commandant’s Silver Medal and the Admiral’s rolling Trophy presented by Admiral Suresh Mehta, PVSM, AVSM, ADC, Chief of Naval Staff.
Divisional Cadet Captain Suraj Kumar of Hunter Squadron stood first in the Social Science Stream with an FGPA of 7.54 and was awarded the Commandant’s Silver Medal as well as the CAS Trophy presented by Air Chief Marshal NC Suri, PVSM, AVSM, VM (Retd). Divisional Cadet Captain Anmol Singh Kondal of Charlie Squadron stood first in the B.Tech stream in the six-semester training at NDA with a CGPA of 7.90 and was presented the Commandant’s Silver Medal and CISC Trophy presented by HQ IDS.
